I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
